BUTCH (GER)

WHERE: The Abercrombie
WHEN: Saturday, February 9, 2013

***TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM RA/PULSE RADIO//1ST RELEASE $20***

Mantra Collective are turning The Abercrombie into a vibrant jungle for their exclusive one off event “An Afternoon with Butch”. Expect vines, trees and wild animals coupled with cutting edge house and tech all day long.

Butch is returning after his whirl-wind Australian tour with John Digweed in early 2012 and amazing Essential Mix on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. Over 100 releases in 5 years have enabled Butch from Germany to express his versatility and brute-fully force his way to becoming a shaping artist in the worldwide landscape of electronic music.

This success comes as no surprise, anyone who manages to release on the labels of artists such as Ricard Villalobos (Sei es Drum), Sven Väth (Cocoon) and Radioslave (Rekids) within a year and gets voted “producer of the year” (2010 & 2011) by the GROOVE magazine readers for two consecutive years, has doubtlessly worked his way up to the small circle of artists which pack the most renowned clubs and festivals as headliners.

With support from local talent including Aboutjack, Whitecat, Antoine Vice, Space Junk and Ben Ashton, this will be one wild party… literally!

HEIDI WAREHOUSE PARTY - BBC RADIO 1, GET PHYSICAL

WHERE: Secret Warehouse
WHEN: 25th of January 2013

One of Sydney’s inner city warehouse's dance floor is about to get a dark and dirty sheet of techno-tronic vibes shadowing from above and cursing through its veins when house and techno goddess DJ Heidi reigns over the decks on Friday 25th of Jan. As a cute, little blonde bombshell, she may exude that quirky innocence but you’ve been warned: Close the door and turn off the lights, and she will turn on you — with claws out, in an all-out audio assault. As one of BBC Radio 1′s “In New DJs We Trust” as well as hosting her own ‘Radio 1's Residency’ on Thursday nights, Heidi has been known for tripping the radio wires with bass-jackin’ techno beats and causing all those via the streams to move in coinciding booty grinding motions. Good God, can you imagine how this will all sound in a warehouse?! AMAZING.

At Avalon, they have had the chance to play alongside influences such as Richie Hawtin, Lee Burridge, Steve Lawler, Damian Lazarus, Tiefschwarz, Mr. C, Booka Shade, MANDY, Matthew Dear.

_____________________________________________________

When putting together this Journey there is no other Sydney based DJ / Producer to have warming up especially when you can see a genuine love for what he is doing and that naturally feeds back to his audience, we present;

YokoO • (MGF | All Day I Dream | Sydney)

Not an Englishman in New York but a Frenchman in Sydney, Julien Beltzung aka YokoO is no stranger to house music in all its deepest forms. A studio head in the true sense of the word, Julien spends much of his time pondering basslines and warm synth riffs that heat up dance floors the world over. With releases on highly regarded labels such as ...Musik Gewinnt Freunde, Moodmusic, Plastic City, Kina Music, Affin and Beef Records, Julien has marked out a spot for himself in the global house music scene with talent being sought after from every corner of he world. His musical intuition drives his production and his full groove based approach to seductive house music turns heads of many a label boss from Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge and Alex Flatner no less. As well racking up plays from the likes of John Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Gorge, Charles Webster, Sasse and Valentino Kanzyani, Julien’s music has proven time and time again it can reach the record bags of the DJing elite in every continent.

_____________________________________________________

Ben Ashton • (Bad Apple | Finely Tuned | Sydney)

Since arriving in Sydney with little more than a backpack, a record box, and high hopes in the spring of 2011, Ben Ashton has quickly established himself as one of his adopted city’s busiest DJs. His list of supports in 2012 alone reads like a who’s who of the deep (and sometimes dark) tech house sound he favors – think Radio Slave, Subb-an, Margaret Dygas, Nick Curly, Francois K, Yousef, Prosume...r, Thomas Schumacher, and warming up for Huxley at his own Bad Apple night for starters – though it’s his ability to control a diverse range of dance floors that has seen him become Sydney’s newest warm-up specialist.

Chinese Laundry is kicking off a massive month of headliners with one of the fastest rising talents in the Tech House and House scene.

This Saturday the 3rd of November, headlining in the Cave we bring you MARK FANCIULLI, the artist responsible for one of the most charted tracks in 2011 “The Tide”.

Mark Fanciulli has had an incredible 12 months. Aged 25 and with just three solo releases, it’s surprising how fast he has shot to fame. His release ‘The Tide’ which came out on Rejected in 2011, caught the entire industry’s attention with Joris Voorn’s edit being one of the most charted tracks on Resident Advisor last year. The track has since been nominated for 2 IDMA’s at this years WMC conference.

Mark’s next release ‘Keep On’ on Area Remote, a collaboration with Jordan Peak, equally saw him gain recognition - so naturally 2011 ended with worldwide DJ gigs at some of the most established venues in London, Istanbul, Padova and many more.

Whilst visiting some of the worlds biggest clubs Mark has similarly played alongside some of the most critically acclaimed DJ’s such as Damian Lazarus, Joris Voorn, Paul Woolford, Mark Broom and Heidi to name a few.

Continued support on his releases have also been shown by Pete Tong on Radio 1, Ali (Tiefschwarz), Deetron, Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Laurent Garnier, Maya Jane Coles and many more.

Throw into the mix the crew from BAD APPLE who are hosting the Cave for the night, and we can guarantee this is going to be a quality party that you won’t want to miss…..

In the Laundry we have returning local legend KID KENOBI alongside a whole host of Chinese Laundry regular big names including Blaze Tripp , U-Khan & A-Tonez who will feature with an amazing MC KItch

“A lot of things have changed in the last 12 months” says fast rising Rochdale born, Australia based producer Lee M
Kelsall. “This time last year I was due to get married and was preparing to quit the party scene for good. Now look… I’m 27, single, signed to some of the most recognised record labels in the world and am just about to jump on a plane with gigs around the world before heading back to Australia… life’s great!"

It was with ‘On the Road’ that LMK first got noticed though. He sent the track to Lee Foss for feedback but the Hot Creations hero quickly replied asking to sign the track to Hot Waves. The compilation "On the Road" was released on became a number one selling new release on Beatport and also led the legendary "Nervous Records" (NYC) scouting Lee M Kelsall and signing him on under their Management Worldwide.

LMK is now working hard in the studio with follow-up releases on MEXA Records and Nervous Records (NYC) and has recently DJ'ed across the World including everywhere from Sonar (Barcelona) to Hideout (Croatia), Ministry of Sound (Egypt) to Space (Ibiza) for Carl Cox....Of course not forgetting the Big UK Festivals such as Creamfields, Glade and Global Gathering

With his Sound in the Club, the same as in the Studio - LMK is not one to stick to a certain genre... expect anything from House, Disco and Garage slip in and out of this man’s sets.

As DJ support continues to pour in from the likes of Jamie Jones, DJ T, Maya Jane Coles, Solomun, Crazy P, Miguel Campbell, Lee Foss, David August and many more

Lee M Kelsall is officially one of the New School House Heroes.
