Soul Clap..Before today there was yesterday and after tomorrow is the future. Elyte and Cnyce's paths were crossed for all time when a Sun Ra light beam sent from Saturn collided with the P-Funk Mothership and sent them tumbling to earth. Now, Soul Clap time travels on a musical spaceship of dopeness...

By harnessing the past Soul Clap looks to the future, with forward thinking productions, remixes and edits, creative DJ sets and some of the USA's best dance music events. With the city of Boston firmly in their grasp they organize the highly praised Dancing On The Charles and, and every Wednesday they host Midweek Techno, the area's longest running techno night.

Soul Clap's training goes beyond history lessons to mastering all the elements of the DJ and producer: knowledge, mixing, programming, performance and experience. They honed their knowledge by teaching a university course about dance music at Tufts University. Soul Clap themselves learned that "house wears many hats" and were instilled with the sounds of New York, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia while fostering an addiction to crate-digging, that has become a worldwide quest to acquire the best music.

Soul Clap released their first 12" records on Airdrop Records and then spread their wings with a grip of edits, remixes and originals on Brooklyn’s Wolf + Lamb. With more material coming soon on Crosstown Rebels, Culprit, Glass Table, Suol, Magic Bag & Double Standard (Gadi Mizrahi’s new vinyl only label) and a busy touring schedule already in the books, the boys aren't slowing down in 2010.

Always pushing new boundaries, always traveling through time and space, decades of experience has prepared Soul Clap to free your mind, and your ass will follow.

TODD TERJE (3hrs)

Along with his compatriots Prins Thomas and Hans-Peter Lindstrom, Todd Terje was instrumental in the development of the unique Norwegian nu-disco sound that materialized at the end of the last decade. Infamous for his remixes and edits, Terje brings a delicate and nuanced touch to anything he lays his hands on.

Now with his latest EPs, Ragysh and It's The Arps, Terje has shown the world the might of his original productions. Tracks such as Snooze 4 Love and Inspector Nors have become staples in the current nu-disco scene. With an analog flair, he not only continues to keep Norway on the map as a disco epicenter, but proves that the nu-disco scene continues to evolve and thrive the world over.

Following a string of celebrated releases leaning on everything from kitschy euro sounds to deep funk and latin jazz, the relatively new to the scene Todd Terje has already made his mark within dance music circuits. Gems such as the cheese monster “Eurodans” and the latin disco-fueled edit of Jacko’s “Can’t Help it” under his Tangoterje edit-moniker instantly made industry types and clubbers alike go bananas. Whatever the 25 year old Norwegian puts his fingers on, it always comes out with that crucial blend of musicality and playfulness.

Is it house, funk, techno or disco? Terje speaks of catchy rhythms, dubby sounds, dreamy synth layers, cinematic moods, a playful approach and searching for that one nerve when asked to describe his music, and the resistance to being pigeonholed is obvious.

“I both like playing big room/macho style, but at the same time it’s the girls I play for really. So I guess it’s a mixture of high octane, leather homo disco done up with mambo, coconuts and lipstick.” -Todd Terje
