Bio - Edu Imbernon

Edu Imbernon is a great example of how a young artist can quickly reach the top in the electronic scene… it’s his talent as producer and DJ that’s got him there.

After the worldwide hit “El baile alemán” (Liebe Detail, 2009) produced along his friend Coyu and appointed "Best Underground Track of the Year" by Beatport , several tracks for lauded labels like Get Physical, Young Turks, Skint, Stil vor Talent, Cr2, Noir Music, Trapez, Great Stuff, Diynamic and his own label Eklektisch. His quality as a producer and his ability to add a nu-disco tint to the dancefloor edge of his tracks have led him to remix bands such as The XX showcasing this homogenous blend of electronica, house and indie. Succesful remixes for Maya Jane Coles and X-Press 2 also ensued.

The emergence of Edu Imbernon on the dance scene couldn't go by unnoticed by the specialised press which has acknowledged his artistic quality by awarding him several prizes: Best New Producer 2010 and Best Track 2010 and 2011 at the Spanish Dance Music awards, and also named an up-and-coming star by Beatport in 2010.His aim is to make music that can be felt, full of energy which will connect with his audiences.

"This is the only way that people will remember your music, trying to make them feel something special and making them dance” says this young artist who's already played on 4 continents

Bio - Maxxi Sound System

Before the runaway success of club hit ‘Criticize’ which exploded everywhere at the beginning of 2011 from Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show to being featured on Beats in Space Best of 2010 Sam Watts had been DJing, putting on parties and working hard in his studio for a number of years in his home town of Brighton.

His follow up single was the first track on Nurvous Records (a new label from NYC legendary label Nervous Records), the track Open Your Eyes on Jamie Jones Hot Waves label and recent EP on needwant records has seen huge support from Radio1’s Jaymo & Andy George (who put him in their Future Stars of 2012 show) and DJs across the board from Maceo Plex, Danny Daze, Tensnake, Morgan Geist and Aeroplane to Tiefschwarz, Groove Armada and Sasha. Remixes in 2011 have also been flying out for the like of Hercules & Love Affair, The 2 Bears and Parallel Dance Ensemble the latter which hit the #1 spot on Beatport’s indie dance chart.

Maxxi Soundsystem has already toured extensively in 2011 taking in Glastonbury, Glade Festival, Creamfields, Sankeys Manchester, Flux Leeds, Disco Bloodbath, Rex Club Paris, Athens and Fabric; proving he can rock any dancefloor that’s put in front of him; playing a set made up of his own edits and remixes plus music plucked from his 8 years experience playing in clubs.

2012 is set to be a big year for Sam with new original material already signed to Futureboogie and Wolf Music plus a remix for the re-issue of classic disco label SAM Records (his track has been picked for a special vinyl-only release shared with Soul Clap) due out in Feb he is now concentrating on new original material with some exciting collaborations in the pipeline.

S.A.S.H - Secret Disused Nightclub

WHERE: Secret Location!

WHEN: Friday, December 21, 2012

If you were in attendance to our previous Secret Warehouse parties you might have noticed that S.A.S.H hit some serious next level shit by all accounts & on all levels….

For this edition of the S.A.S.H Secret Series we've decided to throw you all a curve ball as we've got ourselves our very own ★ Secret Disused Nightclub ★ Better yet, it's on the last Friday of work for the year for most people, so what better than to come and celebrate then with us.

A venue some of us have ventured in the past but now been stripped down to it's bones with raw brick walls & exposed beams we couldn't couldn't resist the opportunity to take it over for just 1 special night only just before it receives it's new makeover in the new year.

We've also, via our Tour Company ★ Paved Way ★, thought it would be a grand opportunity to fly in direct from Berlin one of our favorite artists for his debut Sydney set ★ Afrilounge ★
Known as a trio with their production in the studio, one of the bunch (Liefko) has put his hand up to venture across the seas & wave the Afrilounge flag just for the listening pleasure of the S.A.S.H massive!

The rest of the line up is stacked with talent including Luke McD flying in from Melbourne, a Spice Lieutenant Mr James Taylor & a Chinese Laundry regular who recently dropped some delicious warm bombs on the S.A.S.H terrace - Raulll.

This party will never be repeated in this venue due to the nature it's forthcoming renovations, so if your interested in history, S.A.S.H history that is, best grab your slice/ticket now….. this will SELL OUT!

S.A.S.H Secret Disused Nightclub 003 plays host to :

★ Afrilounge (Ger) ★
These dudes write some seriously cool music. Although we will only be joined by Liefko, you’re sure that their sound is going to be well presented. With their home town being Berlin, you know what he brings to this party is going to be straight up underground. The venue we have for this is a disused nightclub, so what better way to come and catch the debut Australian show of Afrilounge.

★ Luke McD (Melb) ★
No stranger to our fine city, Luke has been a favourite among ourselves and Spice for a while. Having playing for us in the past and with an infectious energy behind the decks, he’s always got the killer tunes that keep people moving.

★ James Taylor ★
Another DJ that needs no introduction, James is now part of the woodwork at The Spice Cellar. Having run his own parties for years at World Bar as WHAM! and Dust, James will be warming up proceedings for Afrilounge so make sure you come down and get involved early.

★ Raulll ★
Being a resident at Chinese Laundry and having come and and play for us at S.A.S.H a couple of months ago, we’ve asked him back for another round with us. Supplying the opening tunes of the night, Raull is super pumped as Afrilounge are some of his favourite artists. Get down early and drink some beer and start your night properly.
